How to keep nuisance cats out of my yard?

.

Background information:: I have fourteen Siberian Huskies ranging between eight months and thirteen years of age, all of them are sledge dogs, up coming sledge dogs, or retired sledge dogs. They run at least eight to twelve miles per day. I live on a fifteen acre ranch.

Now here is the problem,
The ‘crazy cat lady’ down the road from me has dozens upon dozens of cats and kittens that she allows to roam free, off of her property and on to mine. My dogs, of course being Siberian Huskies, have immensely high prey drives, they kill the cats that proceed to enter my property and i am having to clean up the messes of this ladies cats at least three times daily. This is driving me insane. I have an under ground fence for my dogs so they are unable to escape but these cats enter my property. Is there any way i can keep these nuisance cats off of my property? I wouldn’t have an issue with my dogs killing them, pest control to be exact, but the messes i have to clean up is a huge pain in the rear end. Is there any time of scents, etc.. That will keep cats off of my property?

Animal control refuses to do anything, because we live out in the middle of no where and there is only seven houses within this town.

best way I know is water and this method was given to me by the experts. I keep an empty squeezy bottle filled with water and when ever cats come to my property I squirt them with water the colder the better so keep it in the fridge. I used to keep mine on my kitchen cupboard next to my back door and soon as I seen a cat I just squirted water on it. This doesnt hurt the cats and in time they learn to steer clear. Now a days if the neighbours cats see me they run away even though they not on my property and I dont even have the water to hand.
    hope this helps

Buy a OFF pet spray at the store and spray it around your lawn. It really does work, also you should go talk to that crazy cat women. Does she even care about the cats that are being killed ? If not she really is crazy.
    good luck 🙂

I absolutely agree. I, too, would want to hear the answer. I’ve been wondering for sometime now and happy that someone posted. I’ll check back to find out what answer is best. Thanks!
